Today as you celebrate Thanksgiving with your family, friends, and loved ones, you will no doubt take time to reflect on what you have to be thankful for and what this day means. I know that talking with our kids about gratitude and family is super important so they can learn to appreciate the good things we have. A lot of this is done casually during dinner conversations, through reading books, and even at school! Our baby boy has been coming home the past week with various papers and crafts all about Thanksgiving, many of them incorporating a reflection on what Thanksgiving means to him.
In looking back through previous Thanksgiving content we’ve shared, I came across a post where my baby girl (now 10, then 4) shared a bit about Thanksgiving from her viewpoint. I thought it would be fun to ask her little brother the same questions! So, here is Thanksgiving according to my 5-year-old baby boy! Aren’t conversations with children, oh-so-fun?! 😉
