One of the main differences I’ve found in having a son and a daughter is in shopping for their clothes – little boys definitely don’t have as many options to choose from! We love dressing our three-year-old baby boy in fresh attire, but it’s hard to find a varied selection beyond shorts and t-shirts in a lot of stores. When The Motherhood asked if I wanted to check out the spring line at Carter’s and take advantage of the Baby and Kid Up to 50% Off Sale, I thought it would be a great chance to see what they have to offer for toddler boys this year. Since we are fairly new to the Tampa area, I used the store locator feature on the Carter’s site to find my nearest location and headed out shopping. I already had an idea of the spring selection I’d find since I had previewed the boys’ Little Mate collection, but was looking forward to seeing more in store, especially since my boy is in bigger sizes now. I loved the bright colors and that so many of the items coordinate with each other. The boys’ section had many tees, polos, woven shirts, cargo pants, and other bottoms to choose from. Similarly, I saw a lot of adorable clothes in the girls’ Spring into Pink collection, but it only made me miss the fact that my girl is no longer a baby and far from that stage, so I had to quickly leave that section and focus on finding clothes for my baby boy.

Ultimately, I chose 2 pairs of jeans for my boy because they are what he wears the most to attend daycare and be out and about on the weekend and I couldn’t pass up the in-store sale price of $10 each! I also chose a pair of cargo pants to wear with a layered look of a blue graphic tee and an orange and white checkered woven shirt. Of course, both shirts can be worn with other pants, which is great, but I loved how the three pieces looked together as an outfit.
