These days, the kids are appreciating music more and more. Baby boy, especially, is very musical and enjoys the two music days he has at preschool, which combine history with music theory. It’s great to hear him coming home talking up the different genres and music icons he’s learned about, including Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dolly Parton, and many more.
Because he loves music so much and because music is such a huge part of both my culture and my husband’s, we decided to gift baby boy with his own MP3 player. Since he’s still young, we went with the Apple iPod Shuffle, which sells for $46 at Walmart and comes in a variety of colors. It’s perfect for the kids since it’s small and only plays music we load onto it, so we don’t have to worry about them accessing inappropriate media.
If you’re looking for affordable electronics you can gift your kids – whether it be for an upcoming graduation, end-of-school year gift, or just as a reward for being the good kids they are – watch this quick video and read on for ideas you can find at your local Walmart or on Walmart.com!
3 Affordable Electronic Gift Ideas for Kids Who Love Music (Under $50)
1. MP3 Player
A small MP3 player is a great gift for kids who love music, which is why we purchased one for our baby boy. I’m not familiar with other brands, as we’ve always owned Apple MP3 players, but if you don’t want to purchase an Apple product, there are other options out there, some even priced under $10! I’ve highlighted just a couple of options here:
- Apple iPod Shuffle 2GB, $46
- SanDisk Clip Sport 4GB MP3 Player, $37.07
2. Speakers
A portable speaker or small speaker the kids can put in their room is a fun option for kids that already have an MP3 player. There’s a variety of speakers out there, but these two grabbed my attention, as I know my kids would love the color changing and dancing water features!
- Color Change Mini Speaker, $14.58
- SuperSonic Dancing Water Speakers, $22.96
3. Headphones
Of course, headphones are a must when you have a MP3 player and there are lots to choose from! Decide on a style, depending on your kids’ activity and age, and then a look. Check out these two options:
- Spider-Man Volume Limited Headphones, $15.22 – My baby boy is still in the phase of wanting items with characters, and luckily there are a variety of character headphones out there for him, such as these Spider-Man ones. Explore Walmart.com for other characters and look for volume-limited ones to protect young ears!
- Monster NCredible N-Tune On-Ear Headphones V2 Collection, $49.99 – For older kids or teenagers, try a more advanced style of headphones.
I hope these gift ideas for kids who love music help you find the perfect gift for your loved one. The Walmart electronics area has even more options, from accessories to devices, so be sure to check it out the next time you’re in your local Walmart!
