As my baby girl grows into an almost-10-year-old young lady, I am faced with the reality that she’s no longer a baby girl. She is officially a “tween,” despite my personal feelings on the topic. As a tween, my girl is slowly leaving the girls’ clothing department and entering the juniors section. As scary as that thought may be, it does open up our shopping options a bit and allows us to find a bigger variety of clothes.
As we went back to school shopping these last few weeks, a recurring theme for her was graphic tees. The girl loves a good play on words or funny graphics, so graphic tees have been a favorite of hers for a while. In the girls department, she’s now at the highest available size, which is often hard to find. However, remembering some of the juniors’ back to school styles I previewed during a trip to the Walmart home office earlier this summer (see above), I took her to the juniors department at our local Walmart to see what we could find. Check out some of the juniors graphic tees we found that made my girl super happy!
Juniors Graphic Tees for Tweens & Teens
My girl spent a good twenty minutes browsing the various juniors graphic tees and could have probably spent more time had I not put a stop to it. Though not all the graphic tees in the juniors’ area are appropriate for tweens and early teens, there were quite a few that my girl could choose from. Some of the juniors graphic tees had superheroes or popular characters on them, such as Wonder Woman and She-Ra (which my girl was ecstatic to find). Others had fun (innocent) sayings on them that I felt would be fine for my 9-year-old to wear.
Of course, you can always find more juniors graphic tees on Walmart.com and find something not in-store or more sizes. I’m eyeing this “Glitter is my favorite color” shirt for her, as well as these cute Harry Potter cape tees! I know she’ll love them both!
Graphic tees for tweens and teens can help them showcase a bit of their personality and favorite things as they evolve from girls’ to juniors’ apparel. It’s hard for me to believe we are already at this point with my 9-year-old, but it does seem to be the beginning of a fun phase – for the moment, anyway!
Are your tweens starting to wear juniors apparel? What are some of their back to school style favorites?
