Some of my family’s favorite bedtime stories include classic Dr. Seuss books such as Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat in the Hat. But, my kids are also fans of other silly Dr. Seuss rhyming books, like Hop on Pop, There’s a Wocket in My Pocket!, and The Foot Book. There’s nothing like laughing along with your children as you (or they) read the silliest of rhymes that bring together great messages – something Dr. Seuss knew how to do all too well. In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday next month, Walmart wants to help you celebrate this wonderful author and make it easier for you to bring his great works into your home. Right now through March 14th, you’ll find many Dr. Seuss classics on sale at your local Walmart and on Walmart.com! Read on for more details plus information on the Random House You’ll Move Mountains contest!

Kid, You’ll Move Mountains! Contest for Kids
Additionally, your children can celebrate the spirit of Dr. Seuss and the 25th anniversary of his book, Oh, the Places You’ll Go! through the Kid, You’ll Move Mountains! contest. To honor the message of Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, kids ages 5-18 can enter to win a $10,000 scholarship grand prize and show how they are moving mountains in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), dubbed STEAMing ahead. Starting March 2nd, your children can submit an essay expressing how they will move mountains in a chosen area of STEAM, which will then be voted on via social media and if voted to the next round, subsequently judged by a panel of judges. There will be a total of 5 winners, with the grand prize winner receiving a $10,000 scholarship, trip for 4 to Seussland at Universal Studios Orlando, and a ride on the Goodyear blimp! Full details of this contest can be found on the Kids Moving Mountains site, so encourage your children to submit an essay!
