As January rolls around and we begin a new year, I’m always reminded that tax season is just right around the corner. Though tax season can be an overwhelming time for some, it certainly doesn’t have to be. With the right tools, organization, and even help from professionals, you can get your taxes done in a timely manner without stress. Let me share how Walmart can help you this tax season – from finding all your tax needs and supplies in one store to providing tax filing help via in-store tax professionals.
3 Tips for a Stress-Free Tax Season
Keeping in mind that I’m not an accountant or tax professional and that you should always consult with one for tax advice, I’ve accumulated the following tips to help you with filing your taxes this year. These tax filing tips have worked for my family and I over the last few years!
1. Organize and prepare throughout the year
Organizing yourself throughout the year instead of doing it all right before filing taxes will be a great help come tax season. Keep tax deductible receipts in a safe place – you can use an expanding file to organize receipts by category, making them easy to find when you file your taxes the following year.
2. File your tax documents as they arrive
As your W-2, 1099, and other important tax documents arrive in the mail, don’t just toss them on the kitchen counter! Create a designated space to store all you’ll need for filing your taxes at a later date. You could use a pocket folder or file folder system – whatever works for you!
3. Get help from tools and professionals
It’s easy to get help with filing your taxes. Depending on your tax needs, you can find tools like tax software and tax books at Walmart to help you fill out your tax forms. If you need more help, then take advantage of tax professionals right at your local Walmart store! Read on for more details on how Jackson Hewitt and Liberty Tax can help you this tax season.

These are some great tips, and I appreciate your advice to get help from professionals when filing your taxes. I’ve been living on my own and working this past year, but I’ve never filed taxes before, so I don’t really know what I’m doing. I’ll definitely look into getting help from a professional so I do it correctly. Thanks for the great post!
