Quite a bit has been happening in the background of ModernMami, so you’ll be seeing information on new partnerships within the next few months. Today I want to share one such partnership with you, which I’m excited to be a part of!
ModernMami.com has partnered with eBay to be a member of their new eBay Parent Panel for the next year. With this program, eBay aims to help parents use items they no longer need around the house to make a little extra money. We can all use that, can’t we?
Personally, this comes at an opportune time, since we just recently moved. It’s amazing how many things you can pile up over the years! We found hidden items we had forgotten about, that obviously we don’t need as much as we once thought.
Of course, eBay will also come in handy for many of you as your children head back to school. This is a great time to get rid of those old clothes that no longer fit them, in order to make room for those new clothes purchased for the coming school year.
The eBay Parent Panel program officially kicks off next week with an event right here in Orlando. You can follow along as I and the other eBay Parent Panel members learn more, by following the #ebayparent tag on Twitter. You can also connect with eBay on Twitter, Facebook, or check out their blog.
I’m looking forward to the next year of learning, sharing, and seeing how my fellow eBay parents use eBay. In turn, I hope to be able to share lots of good information with you on how eBay can help us.
Are you an eBay user? Have you ever sold any personal items using eBay?
Disclosure: ModernMami.com is a member of the eBay Parent Panel, a compensated program.

I actually live here! Should be able to make it the first day at least. Look forward to it!

I personally really like this effort for so many reason. It’s so easy to accumulate so much “stuff” at home that we don’t really need or use. Why not sell it and let someone else utilize those items at a more affordable cost. Best of all, you make a few bucks your self! And, of course, it helps us recycle and reduce consumerism.
Looking forward to learning more about the program, Melanie. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I have sold my kid’s stuff on eBay! Now they actually want a cut of the profits. And they send me eBay links through messages on Facebook when they need stuff. It will be fun to follow the panel!

Oh I know someone who really needs to learn about this! Can you say “hoarder”? Anxious to hear about this and share it with the special family.

I look forward to seeing what a parent panel will be like. As a stay at home, home schooling mom, who runs an eBay business, I am extremely interested.
