My husband has recently rekindled his interest in fishing. Growing up, he used to fish with family, but it’s never been something we did together in the nearly 20 years I’ve known him. Over the last few months, though, he’s taken a liking to it again; he’s even taken the kids fishing a few times. For Father’s Day, we thought a great gift idea would be to gift him with a day of fishing! Check out the wonderful tackle box we found for him at Walmart and how we prepared him for a relaxing Father’s Day by the sea!
Father’s Day Gift Idea for the Fishing Dad
A day out by the ocean, doing something he enjoys, is probably the best gift we can give my husband this Father’s Day. If you have a dad in your life that enjoys fishing too, you’ll find a great assortment of fishing supplies at your local Walmart. Plus, check out the Father’s Day gift ideas for all “dad kind” on Walmart.com, including gifts for fishing dads! We saw a great tackle system in the latest Walmart Ad for only $39.96, but it was a bit too big for my husband’s needs, so we opted for this seven-tray tackle box instead. I know my husband will love being able to organize all his fishing gear in one spot!
The kids and I thought it would also be nice to prepare everything ahead of time for my husband, so that on Father’s Day, all he has to do is grab his bags and go fishing! We grabbed up a few snacks and drinks from Walmart and will pack him some sandwiches as well. In the next few days, we’ll be sure to gather all his fishing tools and supplies to further organize his new tackle box and be sure he has all he needs for a day of fishing – including his hat and sunscreen!
We wish all the great dads out there a wonderful Father’s Day! You deserve a day of fun and relaxation in appreciation for all you do for your families and children. Enjoy!
