The holidays are already a fun time for many, but celebrating the holidays at Disney just adds to the magic, don’t you think? Partaking in the fun of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party was something I didn’t get to experience as a child, so I never knew how magical the Disney parks could be during the holidays until I had kids of my own! Now, we really enjoy the fun of Disney holidays and look forward to spending a fun family night at Disney World. Check out a few of the reasons we think your family should make a trip to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
9 Reasons to Visit Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World!
- Beautiful Cinderella Castle: The famous castle gets a bit of a makeover as Queen Elsa gives it her touch during “A Frozen Holiday Wish,” turning it into a glittering ice palace! It’s definitely a stunning sight to see.
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade: A great parade is always fun for kids and this one features plenty of Disney characters, as well as a special surprise ending with Santa Claus!
- Holiday Wishes – Celebrate the Spirit of the Season: Nightly fireworks are always a fun way to end the day at Magic Kingdom and the holiday version doesn’t disappoint!
- Live Holiday Shows: Featuring Disney characters, shows like “Celebrate the Season” and “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas!” are sure to get you and your family in the holiday spirit!
- Special Meet-and-Greet Opportunities: Many of your favorite Disney characters are out and about the Magic Kingdom, decked in their holiday attire. You may even catch some not-as-common characters to add to your scrapbook!
- Complimentary Treats: During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you’ll be able to enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cookies at various locations throughout the park. (Apple juice and apple slices are also available.)
- Snow on Main Street: We love walking out of the park at night under the “snow” on Main Street, U.S.A!
- Shorter Lines: Many Magic Kingdom attractions are open during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but you’ll love being able to enjoy them with shorter lines! We rode Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland multiple times in one night – it was easy to just walk on!
- Character Dance Party: My kids and I love the dance party opportunities each year, where the DJ spins family-friendly hits and kids get to dance next to favorite characters! This year, we had a lot of fun with Phineas and Ferb at Club Tinsel in Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café!
Celebrating the holidays with a visit to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is sure to be a memorable addition to your family’s holiday fun. It’s definitely something you should experience at least once! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event not included with your regular Magic Kingdom admission and one that sells out fast! But, with 20 nights available from November 8 through December 18, 2015, you still have time to enjoy the festivities!
