If you are looking for a safe, family-friendly, fun way to celebrate this Halloween, that won’t break the bank, then SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is a must for all ages. Now through the end of October, SeaWorld Orlando visitors can join in on all the family friendly spookiness every weekend. Our family recently had the opportunity to preview all the silly, spooky fun for the first time. SeaWorld did a great job transforming the grounds into a bubble-filled, underwater fantasea full of all the traditional Halloween customs, with a little ocean flair, of course!
Halloween is in the air during the SeaWorld Spooktacular experience, literally. Giant pumpkin bubble machines will greet you with a sea-foam of bubbles and spooky music, as you walk through the main entrance. Come dressed in your Halloween costume and trick or treat in an endless sea full of sweet treats. Didn’t bring your Halloween bag? No worries, because SeaWorld has got that covered too – you and your family will receive goodie bags as you make your way to all the festivities.
What will you find along your way? Spectacularly costumed sea characters of course, that will provide you and your little ones plenty of strolling entertainment for a fantasea filled experience, perfect for picture taking! From pumpkin fish, to underwater sea fairies, and friendly witches, your eyes will get a treat admiring the beautiful, colorful, and elaborate costumes.
Be sure to make your way to Penelope’s Party Zone where kids can make a splash coloring, crafting, and creating from a multitude of sea-themed Halloween arts, crafts and coloring pages. For a nominal fee you can enhance your experience with the purchase of a cookie decorating session.
Let’s not forget about all the rides that are dressed in their own version of Halloween costumes with pumpkin fishes galore and pumpkin lanterns. To top off your spooky day, you can dance the night away alongside your favorite spooktacular sea characters, such as Princess Penelope or any of her undersea friends. This nighttime dance party comes complete with a live DJ playing your favorite kid-friendly spooky music and is located at the Village Square off the main entrance.
Once you’re all spooked out you can enjoy everything else SeaWorld has to offer. Prepare for a unique encounter with the Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin ride, sure to be a family favorite. Is there a tween you need to please? Then head on over to Kraken or Journey to Atlantis for a different kind of spooky thrill. You can also relax as you encounter the fintastic creatures of the sea that SeaWorld has in its famous aquatic collection. From polar bears and beluga whales, to sea lions and killer whales, your family will have their hands full choosing what to do next.
After our experience we could easily give up the traditional Halloween door-to-door experience for this more updated, fun, and safer version. SeaWorld’s Spooktacular event runs from 12-8 pm every weekend in October. Did I mention that SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is included with regular park admission?
What would your kids enjoy the most from the Halloween fun at SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular?
