Summertime has officially arrived. Here in central Florida that brings a number of families to the theme parks to take advantage of the long summer vacation from school. SeaWorld Orlando invites you to bring your family to experience Summer Nights and the Celebrating America Concert Series. Read more about our experience attending Summer Nights at SeaWorld!
This year, SeaWorld has invited several country music artists to celebrate America during their Summer Nights event. Country music duo Trick Pony opened the celebration with a set list that included their hits “Just What I Do” and “It’s a Heartache.” Country music veteran Lee Greenwood, famous for the hit “God Bless the U.S.A.,” will perform on Sunday, July 5 to help celebrate this holiday weekend. You can catch similar American artists every Saturday and Sunday through August 9 in the air-conditioned Nautilus Theater. All of these concerts are included with your park admission!
While visiting SeaWorld be sure to also check out the new Clyde & Seamore show featuring the two sea lions up to their usual hijinks. This time the pair find themselves struggling to graduate from high school. As you can imagine hilarity ensues while the sea lions tackle various high school subjects in the hopes of getting their diploma.
Those seeking thrill rides will have plenty to choose from including Kraken, Manta, and Journey To Atlantis. These attractions will soon be joined by Mako, billed as the tallest, longest, and fastest roller coaster in all of Orlando. Expect Mako to arrive in the summer of 2016.
The nightcap comes courtesy of Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up the Night. This is a very popular show so we recommend arriving well in advance of the showing to secure a good seat. Another incentive for arriving early is the pre-show celebration featuring music of the past several decades. The crowd really got into mimicking iconic dance moves in each decade. Then comes the show’s centerpiece, SeaWorld’s killer whales leaping into the air and splashing water all over guests sitting in the appropriately named Splash Zone (yes you will get wet!). The show’s finale features an incredible display of fireworks providing a beautiful backdrop to the already impressive killer whales.
You can catch SeaWorld Summer Nights and Celebrating America Concert Series now through August 9!
