Hope you brought your appetite for this blog post because we’re going to give you a sampling of the delicious dishes available at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival.
SeaWorld is not entirely new to food festivals but this year they have pulled out all the stops for their Seven Seas Food Festival, happening every weekend through April 15th. Recently we were invited to a preview of this culinary fest and had the opportunity to sample a number of dishes.
There were choices for just about every discriminating taste out there. The food booths feature themed dishes from all over the world. A Polynesian market offers Pineapple Tofu Poke Bowl while an Asian Market features Peking Duck Lo Mein.
Is seafood more your thing? Then consider the New England Lobster Roll which is served on a buttered roll. Of course we can’t forget about those with a sweet tooth and there are plenty desserts to choose from including a key lime martini. The highlight of the entire show though was the Brazilian Market which offered the savory & sweet duo of bacon wrapped sweet plantains. My personal favorite from that market was the Brazilian Churrasco with chimichurri and garbanzo beans. Yum!
Of course Latin-inspired cuisine is near and dear to my heart and I’m sure plenty of modernmami readers as well. You will all be happy to learn that Seven Seas Food Festival will showcase Latin cuisine. These food booths are located adjacent to the Bayside Stadium. The menu includes everything from mofongo to bacalaitos to lechón asada. However, this menu is only being offered for a limited time. The Latin cuisine will only be available on weekends between March 31st and April 15th.
If you’re familiar with these food festivals you may have been a bit disappointed with some of the food portions. I’m happy to report that these portions are heartier than what you’re accustomed to seeing at routine food festivals. Also, SeaWorld is offering food & beverage packages to help you try all the wonderful flavors from its varied menu that features over 180 unique dishes. These packages start at $30 for 5 items and go up to a 15 item package for $60, ideal for families. Both food and alcoholic beverages can be used as part of your package.
SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival is running every weekend from now until April 15th. Theme park admission is required to take part in the festival.
Disclosure: We were provided complimentary samplings of dishes offered at Seven Seas Food Festival. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
