In no particular order, I present to you my totally random list of things I miss about not being a mom.
- Staying in bed all day with the husband watching crap TV
- Sleeping in
- Taking showers together – with husband that is
- Going out dancing
- Going to a movie (without scheduling it 3 weeks in advance)
- A clean house
- Eating chocolate for dinner, or donuts, or chocolate donuts…well you get the idea
- Playing hooky from work without feeling guilty
- Candles
- Not having to announce when I’m going to use the “potty”
What say you? What do you miss?
Looking forward to reading your top missed activities/items and getting a good laugh.

All of mine are fantasy – because I’ve been a mom since I was 19. LOL

I don’t have any kids yet (or a husband, for that matter), but there is one thing I am immaturely and incredibly selfishly not looking forward to when I have kids: getting less Christmas presents from my parents.
I fear that future Christmas morning when my parents have only one gift for me while the rest go to my kids (just as it is with my parents/grandparents). Obviously, I am not mature enough (at 28!) to have children just yet… 🙂

Shannon: You would quickly get over it. 😉

I definitely miss sleeping in. What is sleep? I miss having the bed to myself because I made the terrible mistake of putting my son in my bed and now I can’t get him out! That’s what I definitely miss being able to cuddle with hubby while I sleep and having my pillow to myself!
Modern Mami says
Jai: We made that mistake too. We’re hoping to kick her out soon, but at this point it’ll have to wait until the new year. I definitely miss being able to cuddle…so, yea, let’s make that #11 on my list.

Oh, don’t remind me about all that things:)))) I miss them sometimes but now I know what happiness is to be mother:))
Modern Mami says
kompostela: It is great to reminisce every now & again. 😉

At least I know I’m not alone! I really need to kick him out soon!
