While I enjoy a clean home, I by no means want to spend all of my time getting it clean – not that I have a ton of time to spare anyway! Anything that will help my family and I clean better and faster is a welcome addition to our house. If our cleaning tools and supplies will make it easier for not only my husband and I to clean, but will also allow our kids to help with the chores, then that’s also an added bonus! Long gone are the days of trying to clean our home the way my own mami used to – I’ve gotten over that. So, when we were offered the chance to review the Bissell Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop by Walmart, I decided to give it a go and see how it fared. Check out our Bissell Symphony Vacuum and Steam Mop review below with our full thoughts after trying it out on our floors.
Bissell Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop Review
The Bissell Symphony Vacuum and Steam Mop 1132 sells at Walmart for $198.96 (both in stores and online). The great big-time feature about this product is that it vacuums and steam mops at the same time. That means you don’t have to sweep your kitchen floor and mop it separately! Bissell calls it “one step cleaning” – with one device, you’ll be one step closer to being done with your cleaning! I admit that it was definitely convenient to be able to clean my kitchen floor, especially, in one pass without the need for both a broom and mop. Plus, the steam feature is a lot easier than having to break out a mop and bucket!
The Symphony Vacuum and Steam Mop comes with two reusable and machine-washable mop pads, one soft and the other for scrubbing. The steam mop uses only water, so you won’t need to worry about harsh chemicals on your floor. The manufacturer’s information says the Bissell Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop is safe for all hard surfaces. We personally used it on tile and vinyl floors without any damage, so be sure to test it on a small area before cleaning your entire floor, especially if you have other types of floors.
Overall Impressions of Bissell Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop
What We Liked:
- Convenient and easy to use
- Vacuums and mops at same time
- Adjustable handle allows children to use too
- Uses only water, no need for cleaners or chemicals
What We Wish Worked Better:
- Didn’t clean in the grout lines of tiles
- Only vacuums forward, doesn’t pick up dirt or debris when walking/vacuuming backwards
After trying out the Bissell Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop, I like that my kitchen floor can consistently stay clean without a lot of effort. I’m focusing on the kitchen, obviously, since that is where the bulk of messes happen with cooking and eating. The point is that by saving time through cleaning our floors in one step, we can then take time for what matters more – spending time together as a family!
What could you be one step closer to doing after cleaning with a Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop?

How long does the stream function last?
Am I able to clean whole house without re filling or
Just one room, only half a room, or is it meant for spot steaming here and there.
Susan Richards says
The steam function with a full tank of water will generally steam my whole kitchen and (2) bathrooms with the setting on high steam with me running the steam continuously.
Hope this helps 🙂

How well does the vac work. I have a ranch and my biggest issues in my all tile house is dirt and border collie hair that collects daily. I haven’t count a steam mop or vac that works well and have never seen a swiffer work at all in my house. Kinda tired of trying machine after machine.
Melanie Edwards says
Mark, the vacuum works pretty well, but doesn’t pick up dirt or debris when pulling towards you. It only vacuums things up when being pushed forward. I’m not sure if that would be an issue for you, but something to note.
