You may remember we shared our newfound love for GoldieBlox toys a while back, as my baby girl and boy learned about GoldieBlox and tested out some of their building kits. Now that GoldieBlox toys are available in Walmart stores and on Walmart.com, we received a complimentary Ruby Rails Skydive Action Figure set through our participation in the Walmart Moms program. I’m super excited for the kids to open their new GoldieBlox gift on Christmas morning! And I’m double excited that GoldieBlox is not only making action figure toys to accompany their building kits, but that they’re providing a diverse line of action figure characters. As you probably already know by now, diversity in toys, dolls, and books is important in our household! Plus, just look how cute little Miss Ruby Rails is!
GoldieBlox Ruby Rails Skydive Action Figure
The Ruby Rails Skydive Action Figure is more than just a doll. She, along with the GoldieBlox Girl Inventor Zipline Action Figure, both have several joints and specially-designed moving parts (shoulders, hips, knees, hands, feet) that are made for action. These action figures can be posed in ways that typical dolls cannot, making them much more interactive and wonderful for creative play. Additionally, they combine STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) concepts with free play – wonderful, don’t you think?
Ruby Rails comes with a craft and construction kit, so kids can build and create her parachute pack, all while working on learning about aerodynamics. The set is recommended for ages 4 and up and sells for $24.99 in Walmart stores, just like the GoldieBlox Girl Inventor Zipline Action Figure, which you can also find on Walmart.com. There are a variety of other GoldieBlox toys on Walmart.com and I saw even more at my local Walmart store, including mini building kits under $10! Consider the GoldieBlox toy line for your children this holiday season and help them build a love for STEAM and creative play – I think they’ll make a great holiday gift.
Will GoldieBlox toys make your kids’ holiday gift list?
