Though I absolutely love milk and my 3-year-old baby boy does too, my older daughter stopped being a fan of milk some years ago. When she was a baby, we could get her to drink milk without any issues, but as she became a toddler and is now close to the age of 9, she has steadily liked milk less and less. (She must take after her father, who is also not a fan of milk.) Therefore, my dilemma is ensuring she gets enough calcium in her diet and finding ways to get her to drink more milk. As such, I was excited to try out MilkSplash, available at Walmart [aff], in the hopes that she would drink more milk! Let me share with you our review of MilkSplash products and what my daughter thought!
MilkSplash is milk flavoring that comes in fun flavors: Cocoa Loco, Cookies ‘N Cream, Jammin’ Banana, Orange Cream Dream, Sir Strawberry Swirl, and Horchata (not received). The package design of each bottle is super cute too, with accompanying characters to coordinate with each flavor! You’ll be glad to know that MilkSplash milk flavors are all calorie-free, and though I know I’m adding some sugar to my daughter’s milk, I’ll only be using a limited amount for an occasional treat. You really only need a little squeeze of MilkSplash to flavor the milk, so one bottle (priced at $3.48) will go a long way.
A great thing about MilkSplash is that the bottles are small, portable and don’t require refrigeration – that means you can take MilkSplash on-the-go to add a little flavor to milk when at restaurants or out on the town. I like this because there are times when I would prefer my daughter drink milk, but since she’s so opposed to it, she ends up drinking something else. With MilkSplash, she’ll now have no excuses, even on the road!
A Kid’s Perspective on MilkSplash
After trying out a few of the MilkSplash milk flavors, I asked my girl what she thought. So far she’s equally liking both the Cookies ‘N Cream and Orange Cream Dream flavors, unable to pick a favorite. My baby boy was quite fond of the Cocoa Loco flavor, as well. Described as “really, really good and actually like the flavor it says,” I think my girl is officially a fan.
As you can see, MilkSplash was a hit in our house! I love that now my daughter is more open to drinking milk with the various flavors she can add. I don’t mind adding a little splash of MilkSplash to her milk every now and then, because otherwise my girl doesn’t drink milk! Maybe I can even get my husband to drink more milk too, using MilkSplash!
