I imagine that like me, you have a lot going on in your life, and yet, often times you wish you could do more for others. As you try to raise responsible and generous children, you probably try your best to model kind behavior in your life. Perhaps you look for ways to donate or volunteer in an effort to do a bit of good in the world. With all that we have going on in our busy lives, it’s nice to step back and help when and how we’re able, even if it’s a small deed – it all adds up. It’s a bonus when opportunities to do good are offered along with activities you’re already doing anyway, like shopping and browsing the Internet! Keep reading to find out how, along with Straight Talk, you can easily help support the Make-A-Wish foundation this September and share the experience with your own children.
For the third year in a row, Straight Talk is holding a drive to donate up to $1 million to the Make-A-Wish foundation! Amazing, isn’t it? During the month of September, they’re asking consumers and fans (that’s you!) to help them raise up to $1 million to grant the wishes of deserving kids as a part of their “Give a Minute, Help Make-A-Wish” program. It’s super easy to help them reach that goal and a great opportunity to talk to your children about the work Make-A-Wish does and how they help children! Here’s how you can use your #WishPower to help trigger donations:
- Visit a participating Walmart store and attend a one-minute Straight Talk product demo any Saturday during September.
- Share Wish Story videos from StraightTalkWish.com .
- Share Wish Story videos from Straight Talk’s Facebook or Twitter page.
Of course, one of the easiest ways to help make a donation is by attending the 1-minute Straight Talk demo in-store at your local Walmart, since you’ll just need to swing by the mobile phone area as you’re doing your regular grocery shopping on Saturday. But, if you’re not able to make it to Walmart any Saturday in September, then simply watch and share some of the inspirational wish stories on StraightTalkWish.com . You’ll see wish stories from kids like Shemar, who wished to be a comedian, or Kimmy, who just wished for a playhouse. Once you’re done watching, click the share button to share the videos on Facebook or Twitter. For each share, Straight Talk will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Isn’t that easy? You could watch a couple of videos with your kids, get to know more about each of the children’s wishes, and by simply sharing their stories for others to watch, help drive donations for Make-A-Wish to continue doing the good they do!
Don’t forget to visit Walmart this Saturday and attend a quick 1-minute Straight Talk demo to help drive a donation for Make-A-Wish! Go ahead and use that #WishPower!
