I never used to give beauty products much of a thought when I was younger – I would just buy whatever was convenient and on sale. Then as I entered my late 20s and definitely now that I am in my {ahem} mid-30s, I find I pay A LOT more attention to the products I use, particularly for my hair and face. I also find that I am more conscious of what I use with my tween daughter and how I speak with her about beauty products, because I definitely want her to have good hygiene and build healthy habits of self-care, rather than focusing on “beauty”!
A new hair care product I recently found out about is the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume line! Through my participation in the Walmart Moms blogger program, I was sent complimentary samples of this new line of hair care products, which changes your hair washing process by having you condition your hair first, then washing it. I know – what an interesting spin on the normal hair care routine! Read on to learn more about the products, which you can purchase at your local Walmart.
TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Reverse System {Review}
The TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Reverse System collection includes a pre-wash conditioner, shampoo, hair maximizer, mousse, and hairspray, all of which you can find at Walmart and Walmart.com starting at $4.94. The line is meant for those who seek to increase volume in their hair; the idea being that if you use conditioner after shampooing you can weigh your hair down and leave it flat. So, by reversing that hair care technique and conditioning first to soften your hair, then shampooing to wash away the weight, your hair is left smooth, but full of bounce and volume.
Since my hair typically doesn’t need more volume and needs lots of moisturizing, I was a little hesitant to use the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume products and was worried about not conditioning after shampooing. However, I found that the reverse system wasn’t too bad, though not ideal for my hair type. My hair certainly was soft from conditioning by the time I got to the shampoo, but after washing it with the shampoo, my hair could have used another round of moisturizing. Even still, the next morning, my hair was manageable and ready for the leave-in conditioner I normally use, so the Beauty-Full products surprised me! I’m betting that if you have thin hair that’s in need of volume, then the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume products will work well for you.
I also received samples of the TRESemmé Botanique Nourish & Replenish collection ($4.94+), which is free of parabens and dyes and contains coconut milk and aloe vera. This line is more suited for my hair type, since it aims to moisturize and restore smoothness, so I’m looking forward to trying out this shampoo and conditioner on both my hair and my daughter’s hair!
Have you heard of or tried the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Reverse System? Does it sound like something that would work for your hair?
