Nearly six years ago as I was pregnant with my baby boy, I got an amazing invitation to join a blogger program with Walmart. Originally called the Eleven Moms before I joined in 2011, it soon became known as the Walmart Moms Blogger Program and was full of 22 moms that blogged about a variety of topics. From recipes and crafts to fashion, sustainability, and beyond, the Walmart Moms (as we were casually named) provided our readers with tips and ideas for how to make life a little easier and perhaps save a little money along the way! We also engaged directly with the Walmart marketing team in Bentonville, Arkansas, providing them with insight, feedback, and reader comments, which often effected change in stores across the nation!
After a wonderful 5 1/2 years as a member of the Walmart Moms Blogger Program, I’m sad to announce that the Walmart team is going in a different direction with their blogger and influencer relations, allowing for partnerships on a larger scale. While the Walmart Moms Blogger Program may be officially coming to an end in September, I have certainly enjoyed my time working with a wonderfully diverse group of women, bloggers, and mothers! I’ve also learned a lot during my time as a Walmart Mom and look forward to continuing to apply that knowledge in my work as a blogger and influencer.
Though I will miss the closeness of working with my fellow Walmart Moms, I know we will continue to work together in other capacities. I’m also excited for what’s on the horizon as I build more long-term partnerships and form new professional relations with both influencers and brands. It’s certainly a bittersweet moment, but change is also thrilling.
If you’d like to discuss partnership opportunities, check out our about page and reach out so we can chat about how we can collaborate together! I’d be happy to learn more about your initiatives and see how they fit in with typical content published here on modernmami. Just send me an email or connect via social media – you can find me as @modernmami on most platforms!
