I just quit my job.
Seriously. I just handed in my resignation letter.
It feels good. And a tiny bit scary. But, I think that’s normal. It’s a big change for me. I’ve never quit a job without first having another.
So, here I am. Well not quite yet.
I still have some time at work before I am officially done.
But, soon. Soon, I’ll be done with my outside the home job.
I may be broke and eating Ramen noodles soon, but at least I’ll be working towards something. And, like my husband said last night, “There’s no one I’d rather be broke with.”
Good luck. You’ll be fine and you’ll do great.
@pat.navymom, Thanks so much. I think so too.
Good for you! Welcome to this side of the fence. It is scary. The support network helps.
@Jenna Papakalos, Yes, I believe it will. Thanks for being a part of my support network. 😉
High five!!
I’m still hoping you want to partner with me 😉
@Bunmi, YES! I’ve been meaning to email you. Now that I’ll have more time and focus, I definitely want to get in touch with you.
What a great way to end your week! I hope you celebrate tonight.
@Allison, I guess we kind of celebrated…in our own family way. Went and saw Where the Wild Things Are with baby girl. That’s celebrating, right?
Wow. Good for you. I know it’s scary at first but no doubt you’ll be ok. You can always use cupons and have a better dinner than Ramen Noodles, LOL 😉 On a serious note, wishing you success in your next stage in life.
@Yoly, Gracias! I think I’ll definitely be using more coupons, so I might be coming your way for help. LOL
Yes high five to you…
Your husband is a good guy, it feels good when someone has your back. Congratulations and I pray success in your endeavors have fun with it.
@Jayson, Thanks so much. Yes, he *is* a pretty good guy. Good luck to you too with the move! Are you still looking?
Good for you! I’m prepping to do the same in the next 6 months.
@corrin, Oh! Well congrats to you too!
Yay! Congrats.
@mom2nji, Thanks! 🙂
te admiro! deseandote lo mejor siempre … pa’lante boricua!
@Elsa, Millon de gracias!
it’s leaps of faith such as you made that take women from being just moms to be extraordinary mompreneurs! follow that intuition.
@Quiskaeya, You know? I never saw it as a leap of faith, but I suppose you’re right. I do hope it ends up being fruitful. Thanks so much.
Wow! Good for you, it is scary and liberating all at the same time. When I quit my job the only thing I had lined up was a few months of renovations to our home. Then little man came and that changed everything. All the best to you in your endeavors.
@PJ Mullen, You’re right. It is a bit liberating. Thanks.
Eek. Good luck! You’re very brave — but I know you’ll do great. Plus, now you have this carefree weekend right?
@Jennifer, haha! Right. Thanks!
Congratulations! I did the same thing when my little ones were in 2nd and 3rd grade. For extra income, I worked around my family schedule and sold Discovery Toys in the home party method. You will find a way. Join my team in Orlando on Jan 2010 when the PowerTeam meets for training.
@Rosalinda Vargas, I’m glad that Discovery Toys has worked for you. You’re right…I will find a way. Thanks!
Good for you!!!
@Laura, Thanks!
Wow – you made the big plunge! Congratulations! This should be an exciting time for you. Keep focused and don’t lose faith in yourself.
@Nemedia, I sure did! Thanks so much.
WOAH!
I realize I am MORE than a week behind here – but – again, WOAH!
I want to hear all about your plans!
@Miss Britt, I know…it’s a pretty big change.
Amazing. You are so fortunate to have the support of your hubby. That rocks! I’m proud of you.
@Mary@Everyday Baby Steps, Thanks Mary. I do have a good guy.
YAY! This is huge! I am so so so happy for you. I know you’ve wanted this for a long time. Will you be consulting like we talked about or has that changed a little? I can’t wait to hear how much you love it. How long do you have left at work?
So proud of you, chica.
@Susan Payton, Yes. I have. I *will* be consulting and freelancing. Friday was my last day and so far I’m enjoying my 1st day at home! Thanks for your support.
So will you be doing bloggy stuff fulltime? Whatever you do it will be fabu!
@oh amanda, Yes, I will. Freelancing, blogging, social media consulting, etc. Spread the word! LOL
